Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have an urge to move your legs, usually along with uncomfortable sensations (such as tingling or crawling feelings)
- Your leg discomfort gets better when you move your legs
- Your symptoms are worse when you are resting, sitting, or lying down
- Your symptoms are worse at night
- You have been diagnosed with mild or moderate COPD (a lung condition), graded as Grade I or Grade II
- You are between 45 and 55 years old
- You are in a stable state of health when joining the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a history of blood clots in your veins (deep vein thrombosis)
- You have a history of bleeding disorders or problems with your blood not clotting properly
- You have an implanted medical device, such as a pacemaker
- You have a recent wound that is infected
- You have had an allergic reaction to electrode pads, gel, or medical tape in the past
- You are currently taking part in any other exercise programme
- You have lost feeling or have numbness in your legs or feet
