Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with a spontaneous brain bleed (bleeding inside the brain that happened on its own, not due to an injury or another known cause), confirmed by a brain scan such as a CT or MRI.
  • People who did not have surgery to treat their brain bleed.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose brain bleed was caused by an underlying condition, such as abnormal blood vessels, a brain tumour, an aneurysm, or a head injury.
  • People who, before the brain bleed occurred, had a serious illness expected to shorten life to less than one year — for example, advanced cancer, very severe heart failure, severe chronic lung disease, or kidney disease requiring dialysis.
  • People who, before the brain bleed occurred, had significant difficulty with daily functioning or communication — for example, those with severe disability, advanced dementia, or a serious mental health condition that makes participation difficult.
  • People whom the trial doctor considers unsuitable for the study for any other reason (confirm with trial site).

This study is not part of the standard drug-approval phase pathway (for example an observational, device, behavioural, or registry study), so a phase success rate does not apply.
