Who might be able to join this trial:

  • MRI radiographers (medical imaging specialists) who work at University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) or University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) and have more than 5 years of experience performing MRI scans of the prostate.
  • Radiographers from UHNM or UHDB who have completed both the online and hands-on training materials specifically required for this study before the testing phase begins.
  • Past patient records may also be included — specifically, retrospective (historical) scan and biopsy data from 800 patients at each hospital who previously had a type of prostate MRI scan called mpMRI and then went on to have a biopsy.

Who may not be able to join:

  • Radiographers who do not specialise in MRI scanning.
  • Radiographers who have not completed both the online and hands-on study-specific training before the testing phase.
  • Patient records from scans that were not mpMRI (a specific type of prostate MRI) would not be eligible for inclusion.
