Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been regularly experiencing pain, aching, or stiffness in or around the knee for at least 1 month
- People who complete the screening questionnaire called the PhIT-OA questionnaire
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have already had a total knee replacement, or who are currently on a waiting list for one
- People who have had knee surgery within the past 4 months
- People who have had an acute (sudden) knee injury within the past 6 months
- People who are not able to speak and read English
- People who are unable or unwilling to attend a community physiotherapy clinic at the specific dates and times offered by the partnering clinic
- People who have been diagnosed by a doctor with an inflammatory arthritis condition, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus, or gout
- People who have been diagnosed by a doctor with fibromyalgia
- People who have experienced a sudden, severely painful, hot, and swollen joint at any point in the past
- People who have taken certain medications, including disease-modifying arthritis drugs (csDMARD, bDMARD, or tsDMARD), immunosuppressants, allopurinol, febuxostat, or colchicine (confirm with trial site)
- People who have had an injection into the knee joint in the past 3 months, or who have one scheduled in the next 3 months
- People who have previously completed the GLA:D Hip and Knee program at any time
