Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 60 years or older
- People who speak French and are volunteering to take part in the study
- People who are living at home with a family member or relative
For people with Alzheimer's disease, the following also apply:
- People who have a biological diagnosis of probable Alzheimer's disease based on recognised medical criteria (NINCDS-ADRDA)
- People who score 20 or above on a standard memory and thinking test called the MMSE
For people with Parkinson's disease, the following also apply:
- People who have been diagnosed with Idiopathic Parkinson's disease (the most common form of Parkinson's)
- People who score 20 or above on the MMSE memory and thinking test
Who may not be able to join:
- People with known neurological conditions such as epilepsy or other non-degenerative brain diseases, or psychiatric conditions such as chronic psychosis or psychotic episodes
- People with autistic disorders
- People who have had a stroke or a significant head injury in the past
- People with an unstable medical condition, such as active cancer
- People who are unable to read and/or write
- People who have a hearing impairment and do not use hearing aids
- People who do not agree to give their consent to participate after being informed about the study
- People who are not able to give their own consent to participate
- People who are not affiliated with a French social security scheme
- People who are currently deprived of their liberty, whether by a court or administrative decision, or through involuntary hospitalisation
- People who are under a legal protection arrangement such as guardianship or curatorship
- People who are currently participating in another research study that has an active exclusion period
