Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are under 14 years old
  • Your ataxia was caused by something other than genetics (known as acquired ataxia)
  • Your walking or standing scores on the SARA scale are either very low or very high, falling outside the required range (confirm with trial site)
  • You are unable to walk at all
  • You can walk, but less than 10 metres (about 33 feet)
  • You can only stand with the support of another person or object
  • You have another neurological condition in addition to Friedreich's Ataxia
  • You are currently experiencing a major psychiatric condition, such as psychosis or severe depression
