Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women of legal adult age who have a history of breast cancer and are experiencing pelvic floor problems, measured by a specific questionnaire (called the PFDI-20) with a score of 100 or higher
- Women who have survived Stage 1 or Stage 2 breast cancer
- Women who were formally discharged from cancer treatment more than one year ago
- Women who have not been diagnosed with any other type of cancer
Who may not be able to join:
- Women who have had pelvic floor muscle training or radiofrequency treatment in the last 12 months
- Women who have used vaginal oestrogen products in the last 6 months
- Women who have been on systemic hormone therapy (hormones taken by mouth, injection, or patch) in the last 6 months
- Women who have had laser therapy in the last 6 months
- Women whose pelvic floor muscles show no ability to contract, as assessed by a standard clinical scale (the Modified Oxford Scale)
- Women who use a pacemaker
- Women with uncontrolled heart or metabolic conditions, cognitive difficulties, nerve-related conditions (affecting either the brain/spinal cord or the peripheral nerves), previous surgery in the pelvic area, skin problems or open wounds in the treatment area, or a current urinary tract or vaginal infection
