Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed by a dermatologist with psoriasis, eczema, or chronic urticaria (a long-term hives condition)
  • People aged 16 or older
  • People whose itch has recently been at a level of 4 or higher on a scale of 0 to 10, where 10 is the worst possible itch

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are currently experiencing active psychiatric symptoms, such as thoughts of suicide, psychosis, or delusions
  • People whose psychiatric condition is considered unstable — for example, those who have been admitted to hospital for a mental health condition, or who have started a new psychiatric medication, within the past 3 months
  • People whose skin condition is considered unstable — for example, those who have had a flare-up of their skin condition within the last 2 weeks, including if a doctor diagnosed a flare, or if treatments such as steroid tablets, oral antibiotics, oral antivirals, wet wrap therapy, or increased doses or frequency of existing skin treatments were used within the last 2 weeks
  • People who, within the last 3 months, have been admitted to hospital for their skin condition, started light therapy (phototherapy), or started a new systemic treatment such as immunosuppressant medications, biologics, or JAK inhibitors
