Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with COPD (a long-term lung condition) for at least 1 year
- People whose COPD has been confirmed by breathing tests as being at a severe or very severe stage (known as GOLD stage III or IV)
- People who are currently in hospital due to a sudden worsening of their COPD symptoms
- People who have been in hospital for at least 3 days
- People who own a personal mobile phone and are able to use it
- People who are alert and aware enough to answer questions
- People who are participating voluntarily
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are under 18 years old
- People who choose to withdraw from the study at any point during it
- People who cannot be reached by phone or mobile phone
- People who pass away during the study period
