Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are 18 years old or older.
• You have a foot condition called "spastic equinovarus foot" (where the foot turns inward and downward due to muscle stiffness) caused by a stroke that happened more than 6 months ago.
• You had a specific nerve-blocking test done on your foot that showed a positive result, meeting certain movement criteria (confirm with trial site).
• Your doctor has assessed that you are suitable for a surgical procedure on the nerves of your foot to treat the spasticity.
• You do not have significant memory or thinking problems, or severe depression, based on standard tests (confirm with trial site).
• You have no history of serious mental illness (such as psychosis) that required a hospital stay.
• You are willing and able to follow the requirements of the study.
• You are covered by French national health insurance.
• You have been fully informed about the study and have given your written agreement to take part.

Who may not be able to join:

• You have previously had nerve treatments such as alcohol injections, nerve freezing, or surgery at the same area of the body being studied.
• You have a neurological condition other than the one causing your muscle stiffness.
• You have received botulinum toxin (e.g. Botox) injections in your lower limb within the last 90 days before the procedure.
• You have taken a muscle-relaxing medication called baclofen within 3 days before the nerve-blocking test.
• You have a complete loss of function in certain muscles in your foot (confirm with trial site).
• Your foot is fixed in a downward position by more than 40 degrees due to stiffness or joint changes.
• You have medical reasons that make surgery or anaesthesia unsafe, such as a severe uncontrolled blood clotting disorder or an active infection.
• You have certain health conditions that make nerve-freezing treatment unsafe, such as cold intolerance, specific blood protein disorders, Raynaud's phenomenon, recent blood clots, an underactive thyroid, cold-triggered allergic reactions, poor blood supply to the area, severe anaemia, very low body weight, low body temperature, cancer, or a blood clotting disorder (confirm with trial site for the full list).
• You are a minor, pregnant, breastfeeding, or a woman of childbearing age not using effective contraception.
• You are legally protected or under guardianship, detained by a court or administrative order, or living in a health or social care institution.
• You are in an emergency medical situation.
