Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have muscle stiffness or uncontrolled muscle movements in your arm or hand caused by a stroke, brain injury, or spinal cord injury
- It has been at least 6 months since your stroke, brain injury, or spinal cord injury occurred
- You are currently receiving Botox (or a similar) injections as part of your treatment for muscle stiffness in your arm
- It has been at least 3 months since your last Botox (or similar) injection
- At least two muscles in your hand and wrist have been identified as needing treatment
- If you are in the Botox treatment group, you have a community occupational therapist or physical therapist who will support you after treatment
- If you are in the surgery group, your doctors have confirmed you are healthy enough to have an operation
- You do not have any other serious injuries to your arm that affect how well it works
