Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with a B-cell blood cancer (such as B-cell leukemia or B-cell lymphoma) that has come back or has not responded to previous treatments, confirmed by a tissue or pathology test.
• For leukemia patients, at least one of these applies: the cancer came back within 6 months of first going into remission; the cancer never fully responded after 2 rounds of standard chemotherapy; the cancer did not fully respond or came back after one or more rounds of rescue chemotherapy; or you are not able to have, have chosen not to have, or have relapsed after a stem cell transplant.
• For lymphoma patients, at least one of these applies: after 4 rounds of standard chemotherapy, the tumor shrank less than 50% or got worse; the cancer went into full remission but came back within 6 months; the cancer has come back 2 or more times after full remission; or you cannot have, have chosen not to have, or have relapsed after a stem cell transplant — AND you have previously received both an anti-CD20 antibody treatment and a chemotherapy regimen containing a specific type of drug called an anthracycline.
• Your cancer cells test positive for the CD19 and/or CD22 proteins, confirmed by lab testing.
• Your doctor estimates you are likely to live for more than 3 months from the time you sign the consent form.
• Your blood, liver, kidney, and heart function meet minimum required levels (confirm specific numbers with trial site).
• Your overall physical fitness is rated 0, 1, or 2 on a standard medical scale, meaning you are able to carry out at least some daily activities.

Who may not be able to join:

• You have serious heart problems, with your heart pumping at less than 50% of its normal capacity.
• You have a history of severe lung disease or significantly reduced lung function.
• You have another cancer that is at an advanced stage.
• You have a severe or ongoing infection that cannot be brought under control.
• You have a serious autoimmune disease or a condition where your immune system does not work properly from birth.
• You have active hepatitis B or hepatitis C with abnormal liver function.
• You have HIV or syphilis.
• You have a history of severe allergic reactions to biological medicines, including antibiotics.
• You received an donor stem cell transplant and still have an active immune reaction (called graft-versus-host disease) within one month of stopping immunosuppressant medications.
• You have other serious physical or mental health conditions, or abnormal lab results, that the trial doctor believes could make participation unsafe or affect the trial results (confirm with trial site).
