Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are a woman diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) using standard diagnostic guidelines called the Rotterdam criteria.
• You are between 20 and 40 years old.
• Your Body Mass Index (BMI) — a measure of weight relative to height — is between 25 and 35.
• You have not taken any diabetes or weight-loss medications in the past 3 months (metformin is an exception and is allowed).
• You have at least one frozen embryo stored at the research centre that can be used for transfer.
• You are able to follow the birth control requirements set out by the study.

Who may not be able to join:

• You have had a serious diabetes-related complication called diabetic ketoacidosis, or other urgent diabetes complications.
• Your HbA1c (a blood test showing average blood sugar levels over time) was 9.0% or higher before joining the study.
• You have taken any medications that affect appetite or how your body absorbs nutrients in the past 2 months (metformin is an exception and is allowed).
• You have an uncontrolled thyroid condition, high blood pressure, or a whole-body immune system disease that could affect pregnancy or the baby's development.
• A specific hormone level measured in your blood called 17-hydroxyprogesterone is above a certain level in the early part of your menstrual cycle (confirm with trial site).
• You have serious heart, digestive, liver, or kidney disease, or certain infectious conditions such as chronic hepatitis B, active tuberculosis, or AIDS.
• You have a mental health condition that requires medication to manage.
• You have had three or more failed embryo implantations, two or more miscarriages, or a history of stillbirth, difficult delivery, birth defects, or serious pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia or HELLP syndrome.
• Your partner has an uncontrolled metabolic, immune system, or inherited condition.
• You have a medical reason why you should not take a type of medication called GLP-1 receptor agonists — for example, a personal or family history of a specific type of thyroid cancer, a history of inflamed gallbladder or pancreas, or a known allergy to this type of medication.
• You are unable or unwilling to follow the study's required birth control methods.
• You are unlikely to take your medication consistently or attend follow-up appointments as required.
• You currently smoke, misuse alcohol, use recreational drugs, or have a substance abuse problem.
• You have taken part in another clinical trial within the past 3 months.
• The trial doctors have identified another reason they feel makes participation unsuitable for you (confirm with trial site).
