Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the jaw joint (the temporomandibular joint, or TMJ) on the side being treated.
- People whose jaw joint MRI scan shows signs of inflammation.
- People whose blood test results (checking general health, salt levels, and kidney and liver function) are within an acceptable range.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had an injection directly into the jaw joint being treated within the past 3 months.
- People who have had a significant injury or surgery to the jaw joint being treated.
- People with signs of an active infection near the jaw joint being treated, or a significant active infection anywhere else in the body.
- People with a known neurological (nervous system) disease, a rheumatic condition, a major health condition that could affect quality of life and influence the study results, or unexplained pain from an unknown cause.
