  • People who have been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), confirmed through symptoms, scope procedures, imaging, and tissue samples
  • People who are starting treatment with a medication called vedolizumab
  • People who have access to a smartphone (iPhone 7 or newer, or an Android phone from 2012 or newer) with reliable internet or Wi-Fi

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are not able to speak and read English or Spanish
  • People who are unable to follow the study requirements, including those without reliable internet or smartphone access
  • People whose insurance does not cover vedolizumab
  • People who are unable to attend follow-up visits at the study site due to insurance issues or other barriers such as distance from home to the study location
  • People who have had certain bowel surgeries, such as a stoma (ileostomy or colostomy) or certain types of bowel reconnection surgery
  • People who are expected to have surgery within the next 60 days
  • People who have a history of short bowel syndrome (a condition where much of the small intestine is missing or has been removed)
  • People with certain uncontrolled medical or mental health conditions, as determined by the study doctor, including: a degenerative nerve condition, unstable chest pain (angina), poor circulation in the limbs, a cancer diagnosis within the last 2 years (not including certain common skin cancers), poorly controlled depression, mania, or schizophrenia, or a serious active infection requiring antibiotic or antifungal treatment (with some exceptions for certain IBD patients)
