Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 20 and 70 years
- People who were diagnosed with an ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel) between 6 months and 5 years ago
- People whose stroke affected a specific blood vessel area on one side of the brain (the internal cerebral artery territory)
- People with moderate to severe effects from their stroke, based on two specific medical scoring scales (mRS score of 3 or 4, and Brunnstrom stage III or IV — confirm with trial site for what these mean in your situation)
- People whose brain scan shows a specific measurement called a DTI-RAINBOW value above 70% at the screening MRI
- People who had little to no disability before their stroke (pre-stroke mRS score of 0 or 1)

Who may not be able to join:
- People with severe stiffness or tightening of the muscles in their lower legs that significantly limits movement
- People with low red blood cell levels (anaemia)
- People with a low platelet count in their blood
- People with serious heart conditions, such as heart disease or heart failure
- People with significant liver or kidney problems, based on blood test results
- People with a history of cancer
- People who carry certain infectious diseases, including syphilis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, HTLV-1, or parvovirus B19
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study period
- People with a known serious allergy to any substances used in the study
- People for whom an MRI scan is not safe (for example, due to certain metal implants)
- People who have had a seizure within the past 2 years
- People who weigh less than 45 kg (if male) or less than 40 kg (if female)
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial in the past 90 days, or who plan to join another clinical trial in the future
- People whose overall health condition, in the treating doctor's judgement, would put them at undue risk by participating
