Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have knee pain in one or both knees that has been diagnosed as knee osteoarthritis (if both knees are affected, only the more severely affected knee would be included)
- Your knee osteoarthritis has been confirmed by a standing X-ray and rated as Grade 1, 2, or 3 on a standard medical scale
- Your knee pain has lasted more than 6 months and has not improved enough with common pain relief treatments such as anti-inflammatory medications or acetaminophen
- You are either not a candidate for knee replacement surgery, or you personally prefer to try a less invasive procedure called Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE) instead
Who may not be able to join:
- You currently have an active cancer diagnosis
- You have an active infection in the knee being treated
- You have certain blood clotting test results that fall outside acceptable ranges (confirm with trial site)
- You have had a steroid injection in the affected knee within the past 3 months
- You have rheumatoid arthritis or a similar inflammatory joint condition
- You have had previous surgery on the affected knee, not counting keyhole (arthroscopy) surgery
- Your knee osteoarthritis is rated as Grade 4 (the most severe level) on the standard medical scale
- You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
- Your kidneys are not functioning well enough, based on a specific kidney function test result (confirm with trial site)
- You have previously had a severe allergic reaction to the dye used in imaging scans (iodinated contrast)
- You have moderate to severe pain in other joints in your lower legs or hips
- Your body weight exceeds 400 lbs, as this may make the imaging procedure unsafe
- You have significant circulation problems in the leg being treated (confirm with trial site)
