Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer that has been confirmed by a biopsy
  • Your breast cancer is the invasive type (meaning it has grown into surrounding breast tissue)
  • Your tumor is larger than 2 centimeters
  • Scans have shown that the cancer has spread to lymph nodes in the armpit area
  • You have already had a specific type of scan called an 18F-FDG PET/CT scan as part of your standard diagnosis

  • You are female
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are willing to sign a consent form to take part in the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
  • You are unable to lie flat or cannot tolerate having a PET scan
  • The tissue sample taken during your biopsy is not available for laboratory testing to check for a specific protein called FAP (confirm with trial site)
  • Your general health and ability to carry out daily activities is significantly limited, based on a standard medical scoring scale (confirm with trial site)
