Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who can read and speak Danish
• People who are 45 years old or older at the time of joining the trial
• People whose vision in the study eye is at a level considered functional (a visual acuity score of 0.5 or above)
• People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of glaucoma called primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), with a certain degree of vision field loss shown on at least one eye through standardised vision testing
• People who are currently receiving treatment to lower the pressure in their eye(s)
• People who have damage to the nerve fibre layer of the eye, as detected by a specialised eye scan called OCT

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have diabetes or kidney problems
• People with a history of significant eye conditions (including eye injuries) other than glaucoma
• People who have had eye inflammation or an eye infection within the three months before joining
• People who have had eye surgery within the three months before joining
• People who are smokers at the time of joining
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Women who could become pregnant and are not using an accepted form of contraception, such as hormonal contraception (pill, patch, or vaginal ring), injectable or implantable contraception, an intrauterine device (IUD or hormonal coil), bilateral tubal occlusion, a vasectomised partner, or complete sexual abstinence
• People who are allergic to any of the ingredients in the medications used during the trial
• People who have an untreated serious illness or cancer
• People with a previous history of pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
• People with a BMI below 18.5 (considered underweight)
• People currently taking certain medications, including a group of diabetes drugs called DPP-4 inhibitors, other GLP-1 receptor agonist medications, insulin or insulin-like medications, sulfonylureas (another type of diabetes medication), systemic corticosteroids (steroid tablets or injections), or immunosuppressant medications
