Who may not be able to join:

  • People who received rituximab (a medication that affects the immune system) within the 6 months before vaccination is due to start.
  • People who received intravenous or injectable immunoglobulin treatment within 3 months before vaccination is due to start.
  • People who are pregnant, wish to become pregnant, or are actively trying to conceive during the vaccination period and for up to three months after the last vaccine dose.
  • People taking blood-thinning medications that make muscle injections unsafe.
  • People with a known allergy to Gardasil 9 (the HPV vaccine being used in this trial).
