Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are willing to sign and date a consent form agreeing to take part in the study

  • You have been diagnosed with hip osteoarthritis confirmed by X-ray, at a moderate severity level (specifically graded II or III on a standard medical scale)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have had any injection into the hip being studied within the last three months
  • You currently have a skin infection over the hip area where the injection would be given
  • You have ever been diagnosed with, or currently have, a condition called "chronic pain"
  • You are currently taking high doses of strong opioid painkillers (such as morphine, oxycodone, or hydromorphone) on a regular basis — confirm specific amounts with the trial site
  • You are allergic to any ingredients or medications that may be used in the study
  • You are currently taking part in another study or using another treatment specifically for pain
  • You have been diagnosed with diabetes
  • You are female and are currently pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant within the next 3 months or during the study
  • You have any physical or psychological condition that the study doctor believes would make it unsafe or unsuitable for you to participate (confirm with trial site)
