Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be a woman aged 18 or older
- If you have metastatic breast cancer: You have breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, either from the start or after previous treatment, and you are changing to a new treatment at the time of joining the trial
- If you have non-metastatic invasive breast cancer: You have breast cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body, and you have not yet received any treatment for it
- If you are a healthy volunteer: You have no cancer at the time of joining, you have had a satisfactory mammogram within the last two years, and you have no history of cancer in the past
Who may not be able to join:
- Men are not eligible for this trial
- Anyone under the age of 18
- Anyone who does not wish to participate or who withdraws their consent
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Anyone who is found to have a new cancer (other than breast cancer, for patients) during the course of the trial
- Healthy volunteers who have a history of cancer
- Healthy volunteers in whom circulating tumour cells are detected during initial screening tests (confirm with trial site)
