Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 years or older
  • People who have had breast cancer confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy or similar) on or after 1 January 2022
  • People (in the retrospective part of the study) who have already received both drug-based treatments and surgery for breast cancer
  • People who have signed a consent form agreeing to take part
  • People (in the prospective part of the study) whose breast cancer has been tested and found to have either no HER2 protein (HER2-0) or low levels of HER2 protein (HER2-low), and whose cancer is suitable for drug-based treatments and surgery

  • People whose breast cancer has not been fully classified using standard tumour markers (ER, PR, Ki67, and HER2), which are used to identify the type of breast cancer
  • People who have had another type of cancer (separate from the breast cancer being studied) diagnosed within the past 5 years
  • People (in the prospective part of the study) who do not have a confirmed tissue-based diagnosis of HER2-0 or HER2-low breast cancer
