Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have had breast cancer confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy or similar) on or after 1 January 2022
- People (in the retrospective part of the study) who have already received both drug-based treatments and surgery for breast cancer
- People who have signed a consent form agreeing to take part
- People (in the prospective part of the study) whose breast cancer has been tested and found to have either no HER2 protein (HER2-0) or low levels of HER2 protein (HER2-low), and whose cancer is suitable for drug-based treatments and surgery
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose breast cancer has not been fully classified using standard tumour markers (ER, PR, Ki67, and HER2), which are used to identify the type of breast cancer
- People who have had another type of cancer (separate from the breast cancer being studied) diagnosed within the past 5 years
- People (in the prospective part of the study) who do not have a confirmed tissue-based diagnosis of HER2-0 or HER2-low breast cancer
