Who might be able to join this trial:

You speak English and are male or female
You are between 18 and 70 years old
You have had repeated episodes of binge eating (eating large amounts in a short time, whether measured objectively or felt subjectively) — at least 12 times over the past 3 months
Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 30 or above
You own an iPhone running iOS 11 or newer, or an Android phone running OS 8.1 or newer
You are willing and able to complete the steps needed to join the study
You are able to understand what the study involves and sign a consent form agreeing to take part

Who may not be able to join:

You cannot fluently speak, read, and write in English
You are currently receiving treatment for an eating disorder from another provider
You are currently receiving any weight loss treatment, whether through a program or medication
You have a mental disability or are currently experiencing serious mental health conditions (such as high risk of suicide, a substance use disorder, or an active psychotic disorder) that would make it hard to participate
You make yourself vomit or use laxatives 3 or more times per week, and your primary care doctor has not confirmed it is safe for you to take part remotely
You exercise 2 or more hours per day on average, or engage in seriously harmful behaviors to compensate for eating (such as vomiting or laxative use more than 3 times per week), and your primary care doctor has not confirmed it is safe for you to take part remotely
You fast for 24 hours or more, more than 3 times a week, and your primary care doctor has not confirmed it is safe for you to take part remotely
You are unwilling to get medical clearance or medical check-ins as required by the study
You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant within the next year
You are currently taking any of these medications: Haldol, Loxitane, Mellaril, Moban, Navane, Prolixin, Serentil, Stelazine, Trilafon, Thorazine, Abilify, Clozaril, Geodon, Risperdal, Seroquel, or Zyprexa
You are not able to legally give your own consent to participate
You are currently in prison
