Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women aged 40 to 65 who identify as first-generation South Asian immigrants living in the US, or in the process of obtaining permanent US residency, and who have not been diagnosed with breast cancer
- People who report doing less than 150 minutes per week of moderate physical activity, or less than 75 minutes per week of vigorous physical activity, over the past month
- People who are conversant in Hindi
- People who own a smartphone that can run the Fitbit app
- People who have access to a computer or mobile device with internet
- People who are willing to take part in recorded virtual sessions
- People with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes with an A1C of 9.0% or higher, or an A1C of 6.5% or higher without a prior diabetes diagnosis will need to provide medical clearance from a doctor before joining
- People who have no physical disabilities that would prevent them from doing regular physical activity, as determined by a standard physical activity readiness questionnaire (PAR-Q & You)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have major signs or symptoms of lung or heart disease, an unstable heart or lung condition in the past month, or any other condition that affects their ability to walk (as assessed by the PAR-Q & You questionnaire)
- People with a systolic blood pressure of 160 or higher and/or a diastolic blood pressure of 100 or higher
