All groups:

  • People diagnosed with one of the following conditions: Ewing sarcoma, synovial sarcoma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, or myelodysplasia
  • The patient's cancer specialist has no objection to the tissue collection or reimplantation procedure involved in this trial
  • Informed consent has been given to participate

Group 1 (ovarian tissue freezing/storage):

  • People aged 18 to 37 at the time of ovarian tissue freezing
  • A request for ovarian tissue freezing has been made at the specific laboratory at IRCCS AOUBO

Group 2 (ovarian tissue already stored):

  • People aged 18 or older
  • Ovarian tissue has already been collected and stored at the specific laboratory at IRCCS AOUBO

Group 3 (reimplantation of stored ovarian tissue):

  • People aged 18 or older
  • A request for reimplantation of stored ovarian tissue has been made at the specific laboratory at IRCCS AOUBO
  • Early menopause or irregular periods are present

Who may not be able to join:

Groups 1 and 3:

  • People for whom laparoscopic surgery (a type of keyhole surgery) is not considered safe
  • People who test positive for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis, or who have an abnormal cervical screening result
  • People whose cancer affects the ovaries, or where the tissue to be reimplanted shows signs of cancer

Group 2:

  • No exclusion criteria apply to this group
