- People who have a body-wide illness that could affect memory and thinking, such as liver or kidney problems, thyroid issues, severe anaemia, certain vitamin deficiencies, syphilis, HIV, or a history of alcohol or drug misuse
- People who have an intellectual disability or a developmental condition affecting thinking or behaviour
- People who have any other known condition that could cause problems with memory or thinking
