Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 or older
  • People who have been diagnosed with ALS (also known as motor neurone disease) based on recognised international diagnostic guidelines
  • People whose symptoms started less than 24 months ago
  • People whose ALS functional rating score is above 30 at the time of joining (this is a standard scale doctors use to measure how ALS is affecting daily activities)

  • People with medical reasons that prevent them from being exposed to magnetic fields
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People with a history of epilepsy or seizures
  • People taking medications that affect the brain or nervous system, with the exception of antidepressants and benzodiazepines
  • People with cognitive impairment (difficulties with memory or thinking)
  • People who have not given informed consent to participate
