Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are willing to take part, understand what the study involves, and are able to sign a written consent form.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have previously had radiation therapy to the chest.

• People with a history of esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, or who have had previous surgery on the esophagus.
• People who currently have active reflux esophagitis (ongoing inflammation of the food pipe caused by stomach acid).
• People who are currently taking immunonutrition supplements on a regular basis (such as Oral Impact®).
• People with serious heart, brain, liver, or kidney conditions.
• People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study period.
• People who currently have an active autoimmune disease that requires treatment.
• People with a known history of HIV or AIDS.
• People who have a medical, mental health, or social condition that, in the trial doctor's judgement, could affect their safety, wellbeing, ability to give informed consent, or ability to participate fully in the study.
