Who might be able to join this trial:

People with subjective memory concerns (no diagnosis):

• You score between 26 and 30 on a standard memory and thinking test (MMSE or MoCA).
• You do not have a diagnosis of cognitive impairment or dementia.
• You or a family member have noticed problems with your memory.
• You can speak and understand Swedish.

People with mild cognitive impairment:

• You score between 24 and 30 on a standard memory and thinking test (MMSE or MoCA).
• You have measurable problems with memory but do not have a dementia diagnosis.
• A specific marker for Alzheimer's disease has been found in your spinal fluid.
• You can speak and understand Swedish.

People with Alzheimer's disease:

• You score between 18 and 28 on a standard memory and thinking test (MMSE or MoCA).
• You have memory problems along with difficulties in at least one other area, such as language, attention, spatial awareness, or planning.
• You have received a formal diagnosis of probable Alzheimer's disease.
• A specific marker for Alzheimer's disease has been found in your spinal fluid.
• You can speak and understand Swedish.

Who may not be able to join:

• People with a current alcohol or drug abuse problem.
• People with an unstable or serious physical illness or organ failure.
• People who are not willing to undergo spinal fluid testing, blood tests, brain scans, brainwave recordings, or thinking and memory assessments.
• People who have claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces) that would prevent them from having a brain scan.
• People who have a metal implant in their body that could interfere with brain scanning equipment.
