Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with classic Hodgkin Lymphoma (a type of blood cancer) confirmed by a tissue sample.
- People whose cancer is at an early stage — specifically stage 1A, 1B, or 2A.
- People whose cancer is located above the diaphragm (the muscle separating the chest from the abdomen).
- People aged between 18 and 60 years.
- People who are reasonably well and able to carry out daily activities, as measured by a standard health scale (confirm with trial site).
- People who have had an initial full-body PET/CT scan for staging their cancer.
- People who have completed chemotherapy using a regimen called ABVD — 2 cycles for those without certain risk factors, or 4 cycles for those with risk factors such as a large tumour, a high inflammation marker in the blood, or cancer in more than two areas of the body.
- People with risk factors who have had a CT scan after 2 cycles of chemotherapy showing the cancer has responded (either fully or partially).
- People who are able to start radiation therapy within 6 weeks of finishing chemotherapy.
- People who are able to provide written consent before any study procedures begin.
- Women who are able to become pregnant must agree to use contraception throughout the treatment period of the study.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently pregnant.
- People with a serious ongoing illness that could interfere with receiving treatment.
- People whose tumour moves more than 5mm during breathing on a special type of CT scan, unless a breath-hold technique is used during radiation — this does not apply if the cancer is outside the chest area or if standard X-ray-based radiation is planned (confirm with trial site).
- People whose cancer did not respond to, or got worse during, the initial chemotherapy.
- People who are unable to follow the treatment and study procedures.
- People who have another active cancer, unless it is a slow-growing lymphoma in the bone marrow, a common type of skin cancer (basal cell or squamous cell carcinoma), or early-stage cervical cancer that has not spread.
