Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of joining
- People who have been diagnosed by an eye doctor with one of these specific types of glaucoma: Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma, Normal Tension Glaucoma, or Pseudoexfoliation Glaucoma — in one or both eyes
- People whose best corrected vision (with glasses or contact lenses) meets a minimum standard in the eye(s) being studied (confirm with trial site)
- People who have completed two or more reliable visual field tests (tests that map what a person can see around them) with a low rate of errors
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose visual field (side and peripheral vision) damage in the study eye(s) is more severe than a certain level (-16dB) (confirm with trial site)
- People whose eye pressure in the study eye(s) has been measured above 35 mmHg on either of two occasions, or has averaged above 30 mmHg across two occasions
- People who have any disease that affects how the retina (the back of the eye) works
- People who have a neurological condition or other non-glaucoma-related condition that may affect visual field results
- People who are unable to complete visual field tests
- People who are unwilling to stop taking multivitamins or B vitamin supplements for the duration of the trial
- People with a known allergy or intolerance to B vitamins
- People who have had previous eye surgery, unless it was uncomplicated cataract surgery
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Women of childbearing potential who are not using reliable contraception
- People who have a disease or condition likely to prevent them from being followed up over the long term
- People who have had a cancer diagnosis within the last 5 years (an exception may apply for treated squamous cell carcinoma — confirm with trial site)
- People with a history of liver disease or stomach ulcers
- People who are unable to understand and speak Swedish or English
