Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are of Han Chinese ethnic background
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have at least 6 years of education, can fill out forms on your own, and have adequate vision and hearing to complete the required tests
- You have been diagnosed with schizophrenia according to standard diagnostic guidelines (DSM-5), confirmed by a structured clinical interview
- You still experience certain "negative symptoms" of schizophrenia (such as low motivation, reduced emotional expression, or social withdrawal) at a measurable level
- You are currently taking a second-generation antipsychotic medication, and your medication type and dose have not changed in the last two weeks
- You and your guardian (if applicable) are willing to take part and have signed a consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with another mental health condition in addition to schizophrenia
- Your "positive symptoms" (such as hallucinations or delusions) are currently severe, based on a specific symptom rating score
- Your negative symptoms are so severe that you would be unable to complete the study's tests or treatment sessions
- You have a serious physical illness or brain/nervous system condition — such as epilepsy, a brain tumour, a history of fluid on the brain, a metal implant in your skull, or a serious heart condition with a pacemaker
- The skin where electrodes would be placed is broken or irritated, or you are sensitive to electrode gels or adhesive materials
- You have an intellectual disability or significant memory and thinking difficulties, based on standardised tests
- You have vision or hearing problems that would prevent you from completing the required assessments
- You currently misuse or are dependent on alcohol or drugs
- You are pregnant
- You have taken part in, or are currently taking part in, another clinical trial within the past 3 months
- You are unwilling or unable to sign the informed consent form
