Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 55 years or older
- People with moderate to severe vision loss (able to see between 1/10 and 2/10 on a standard vision test)
- People who have been diagnosed with advanced dry (non-exudative) age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a condition where the central part of the eye gradually deteriorates without fluid leakage
- People who have given their free and informed agreement to participate before the study begins

Who may not be able to join:
- People whose vision loss is caused by an eye condition other than age-related macular degeneration
- People with only mild vision loss, or people with partial or total blindness
- People who have the wet (exudative) form of age-related macular degeneration and are currently receiving injections into the eye as treatment
