Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer by a doctor
- People who are currently receiving, or are planned to receive, a hormone therapy called androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), which may be used alone or combined with other prostate cancer medications
- People with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or above, OR a BMI of 27 or above alongside at least one of the following conditions: high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, or high cholesterol/abnormal blood fats
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have type 1 diabetes
- People who are currently taking a medication from a class called GLP-1 receptor agonists (a type of diabetes or weight management drug — confirm with trial site if unsure whether a current medication falls into this category)
- People under 18 years of age
- People with a history of pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
- People with a personal or family history of a specific type of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid cancer
- People with a condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 (a rare inherited condition affecting hormone-producing glands)
