Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 20 years of age or older.
- Your shoulder anatomy is suitable to receive a shoulder replacement implant, as determined by your doctor.
- You need a shoulder replacement due to one of the following: osteoarthritis, bone tissue death due to loss of blood supply (avascular necrosis), rheumatoid arthritis, a broken upper arm bone where other treatments have not worked, or a complex shoulder problem where other treatments are not suitable.
- You are willing and able to attend the required follow-up appointments as set out in the study plan.
- You are willing and able to sign the consent form that has been approved by an ethics review board.
Who may not be able to join:
- You are unwilling or unable to give consent or to attend follow-up visits.
- You have any condition that, in your doctor's opinion, would put you at unnecessary risk or interfere with the study.
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are considered a vulnerable person, such as someone who is a prisoner, has difficulty understanding what the study involves, has a known alcohol or drug problem, or is likely not to follow the study requirements.
- You have a neurological condition that makes it difficult or impossible for you to follow instructions or cooperate with the study team.
- You have any sign of infection in or near the shoulder joint that could spread to the implant.
- Your X-rays show rapid joint breakdown, significant bone loss, or bone being absorbed by the body.
- You have a nerve or muscle disease affecting the arm that would make this procedure unsuitable.
- You have osteoporosis (weak or brittle bones) that your doctor believes may prevent the shoulder implant from being properly supported.
- You have a metabolic condition that may affect how your body forms new bone (confirm with trial site).
- You have osteomalacia, a condition where bones become soft due to problems with bone hardening (confirm with trial site).
