Who might be able to join this trial:
- People whose blood test shows a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) level above 4 ng/mL
- People who have had at least one prostate biopsy in the past that came back negative (no cancer found)
- People whose PSA levels, and/or PHI (a related prostate health marker) levels, have gone up at least two times in a row
- People whose physical prostate examination (a rectal exam performed by a doctor) showed no abnormalities
- People whose detailed prostate MRI scan returned a score of 3 or lower on a standard scale used to assess cancer risk (called PI-RADS)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are 30 years old or younger, or older than 85 years old
- People who currently have another type of cancer
- People who have previously received any cancer treatment or had prostate surgery (note: having had a prostate biopsy does not count as an exclusion)
- People who are unable to undergo a specific type of scan called a PSMA PET/MRI — for example, due to allergies to contrast dye or claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
- People for whom a prostate biopsy would be medically unsafe — for example, due to blood clotting problems, active prostate inflammation, or an active urinary tract infection
- People with serious problems affecting major organs such as the heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys
- People whose medical or test records are incomplete
