Who might be able to join this trial:

Phase 1b:

  • People aged 18 or older at the time of signing consent
  • People with mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema), where the affected skin covers 10% or less of the body
  • People whose eczema severity has been rated at a score of 3 or lower on a standard doctor-assessed scale (IGA)
  • People who have never previously received biologic therapy (a type of specialist injectable or infused medication) for their eczema
  • People who have not used any full-body (systemic) eczema treatments in the past 3 months
  • People who have not used any skin-applied (topical) eczema treatments in the past 4 weeks

Phase 2 (additional or different criteria):

  • All of the same criteria listed under Phase 1b above, plus:
  • People who have at least one patch of eczema measuring at least 5 cm across

Who may not be able to join:

Phase 1b:

  • People under 18 years of age
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People with serious heart failure or a condition that affects blood clotting, which may make a small skin biopsy (tissue sample) procedure inadvisable (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have previously used biologic treatments for any condition, or who have used systemic (whole-body) non-biologic eczema medications — such as methotrexate — within the past 12 weeks
  • People who have used any skin-applied (topical) eczema treatments within the past 4 weeks

Phase 2:

  • All of the same exclusions listed under Phase 1b above, plus:
  • People who already participated in Phase 1b of this trial
