  • People currently taking certain medications — other than steroid creams — that could affect skin function, including anyone who has taken antibiotics in the past 4 weeks or anti-inflammatory medicines in the past 2 weeks
  • People whose freedom is restricted by a legal or court order, or who are under guardianship
  • People who are unable to understand or sign a consent form, or who cannot follow the study requirements
  • People who have had a significant change in their health since registering with the relevant health database, where that change would make participation unsuitable (confirm with trial site)
  • People currently enrolled in another similar clinical trial or still within an exclusion period from a previous study
  • People whose skin in the test areas has recently been exposed to sunlight or artificial tanning, or who have used a self-tanning product or tanning supplement within the past 2 weeks
  • People who have swum in a chlorinated pool within the past week, or who plan to do so during the study
