Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have signed and dated a written consent form before any study procedures begin.
- Adults between 18 and 75 years of age at the time of signing the consent form.
- People who have had a formal asthma diagnosis from a doctor for at least 12 months.
- People who are currently taking medium or high dose inhaled corticosteroids (a type of preventer medication) together with a long-acting bronchodilator (a type of reliever medication).

- People who have finished a course of antibiotics for a respiratory infection within the 4 weeks before the first study visit.
- People who have a significant lung or breathing condition other than asthma.
- People who currently smoke, or former smokers who have a history of more than 10 pack-years of smoking (confirm with trial site).
- People who have a significant heart valve condition called aortic stenosis or high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary arterial hypertension).
- People who have active tuberculosis, hepatitis, HIV, a current cancer diagnosis, or a condition affecting the immune system.
- People with unstable heart or cardiovascular conditions.
