Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged 40 years or older
• People who have had an ischemic stroke affecting a specific brain artery (called the middle cerebral artery)
• Both men and women are eligible
• People who score above 24 points on a standard memory and thinking test called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)
• People who have at least some movement strength in the upper part of their affected arm, enough to reach forward
• People whose arm movement score on a standard stroke recovery scale (called the Fugl-Meyer Assessment) is below 47 out of a possible higher score, indicating some degree of arm difficulty
• People with little to no muscle stiffness in their hand and finger joints, measured as a score below 2 on a standard stiffness scale
• People who are able to sit upright for at least 60 minutes

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have significant joint pain or other bone and muscle problems in the affected arm
• People who have stiff, fixed joints (contractures) in the shoulder, elbow, hand, or fingers that prevent normal movement
• People with severe vision problems
