Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 to 80 who have been admitted to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) under the neurosurgery team with a confirmed brain tumour diagnosis.
- People who undergo a partial or full surgical removal of a brain tumour and are in a medically stable condition.
- People who are able to sign a written consent form, or whose legally recognised decision-maker can provide consent on their behalf (with approval from an independent medical practitioner, as outlined under the Guardianship and Administration Act 1990).
- People who have a support network in place that can help them attend hospital appointments for assessments if in-person visits are required.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose only surgical procedure is a biopsy (where a small sample is taken but the tumour is not removed).
- People who are unable to follow instructions or complete study assessments due to serious medical decline.
- People who are pregnant.
- People who currently have a COVID-19 infection, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), or any type of flu.
- People who do not have a support network available to help them attend hospital appointments for assessments if travel is required.
- People who have an Advance Care Health Directive that does not allow a Research Decision-Maker to make decisions on their behalf.
