Who might be able to join this trial:

Patient volunteers:

  • Adults aged 18 or older of any gender
  • People who have leg pain or cramping when walking (claudication) and are suspected of having Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)
  • People who are already scheduled for vascular (blood vessel) testing

Healthy volunteers:

  • Adults aged 18 to 75 of any gender
  • People with a normal body weight range (BMI)
  • People with no history of smoking, heart or blood vessel disease, or diabetes

Who may not be able to join:

Patient volunteers:

  • People who have gangrene (serious tissue damage due to lack of blood flow)
  • People who are scheduled for surgery or a stent procedure
  • People who have an ulcer (open wound) on their leg
  • People with a health condition that would prevent an ultrasound scan from being used properly (confirm with trial site)
  • People who fall into what are classified as "vulnerable" populations (confirm with trial site)

Healthy volunteers:

  • People with a BMI over 30
  • People with any history of smoking
  • People with a history of diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart and blood vessel disease
  • People who fall into what are classified as "vulnerable" populations (confirm with trial site)
