Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 65 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease based on medical tests such as a camera examination of the gut, tissue samples, or scans
- People who have narrowings in the gut (called strictures) that are caused by scarring or a mix of scarring and inflammation, and are less than 3 cm long
- People who have no more than two of these narrowings
- People whose narrowings can be reached using a standard camera examination of the large bowel (colonoscopy)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose narrowings in the gut are mainly caused by active inflammation or ulceration rather than scarring
- People whose narrowings are longer than 3 cm
- People whose narrowings cannot be reached using a standard colonoscopy
- People who are pregnant
- People who have three or more narrowings in their gut
- People who have already had a specific procedure (called endoscopic stricturotomy) carried out on the same narrowing before
