Who might be able to join this trial:
- A stroke has been confirmed by a brain scan (such as an MRI or CT scan)
- The stroke occurred more than one month ago
- A score of 20 or higher on a standard memory and thinking test called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)
- A score of 3 or higher on the Barthel Index, which measures ability to carry out daily activities
- Able to understand and follow instructions during the trial

- Aged between 18 and 80 years old
Who may not be able to join:
- People showing significant signs of depression, based on a score above 11 on the depression portion of a questionnaire called the HADS
- People with arm weakness below a certain level, based on a score under 35 on a standard arm movement assessment called the Fugl-Meyer scale
- People whose sense of feeling in their arm or hand falls outside an acceptable range, based on a Fugl-Meyer sensory score below 3 or above 10 (confirm with trial site)
