AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are a non-smoker
  • You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
  • You have been told you have subjective cognitive impairment or mild cognitive impairment (meaning you may notice memory or thinking difficulties, or a doctor has identified mild changes)
  • Certain biological markers in your body suggest early signs of a process linked to Alzheimer's disease
  • There are no personal, psychological, or practical circumstances that would make it very difficult for you to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have serious heart, liver, or kidney disease; diabetes that is poorly controlled or treated with insulin or certain diabetes injections; cancer; or another serious illness as judged by a doctor
  • You have had cancer treated with chemotherapy or radiotherapy within the last 5 years
  • You are unable to cooperate, have a very rigid schedule, or have major difficulties with transport
  • You do not have enough physical ability to take part in an exercise programme, as assessed by relevant specialists
  • You have a pacemaker or metal implants in your body (which would prevent an MRI scan), or you are allergic to local anaesthetics (which would prevent a muscle sample being taken)
  • You smoke, are dependent on alcohol, or use other addictive substances
  • You have had a stroke or heart attack within the last year
  • You are receiving long-term treatment for a psychiatric condition (although treated and stable depression is not automatically a reason to be excluded — confirm with trial site)
  • You have conditions affecting your muscles, joints, or nervous system that could interfere with exercise or thinking — for example, severe arthritis, Parkinson's disease, significant tremor, or epilepsy
  • You are currently taking part in another clinical trial
  • You are taking cholinesterase inhibitor medications, unless you have been on the same stable dose for a period of time (confirm with trial site)
