Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with geographic atrophy (a type of vision loss affecting the central part of the eye) caused by age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
• People whose affected area in the eye falls within a specific size range, as measured at the screening visit
• People whose eye is clear enough, and who can keep their gaze steady enough, to allow good-quality imaging of the back of the eye
• People who are willing and able to attend clinic visits and follow study procedures, including completing a required series of vaccines for meningococcal and pneumococcal diseases

Who may not be able to join:

• People whose geographic atrophy is caused by something other than AMD
• People who have another active eye disease that affects their vision
• People who have had surgery for a detached retina
• People who have another eye condition in addition to geographic atrophy caused by AMD
• People who have received certain eye injections that affect the complement system (a part of the immune system) in the eye being studied
• People who have an inherited or acquired deficiency affecting their complement system
• People who currently have an active viral, bacterial, or fungal infection
• People who have signs of liver damage, as shown by abnormal liver blood test results
• People who donate blood
• People who have a history of abnormal blood vessel growth under the retina in the eye being studied
