Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 45 years of age or older
- You have a cataract that affects your vision and need cataract surgery, OR you have already had cataract surgery at least 6 months ago
- The pressure in your eye is within a specific range — either at least 21 mmHg without eye pressure-lowering drops, or at least 16 mmHg if you are using 1 to 4 eye pressure-lowering medications, and your medication routine has been stable for at least 2 months (confirm with trial site)
- You have been diagnosed with mild to moderate primary open-angle glaucoma, with evidence of damage to the optic nerve or changes to your field of vision caused by glaucoma
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a laser treatment for glaucoma (laser trabeculoplasty) within the last 6 months
- You have received a Durysta implant (a type of glaucoma medication placed in the eye) within the last 12 months
- You have any kind of implanted glaucoma device already in your eye
- You have previously had certain types of glaucoma surgery, including canaloplasty, goniotomy, trabeculotomy, or trabeculectomy
- You have had certain procedures to reduce fluid production in the eye (ciliary ablation procedures) within the last 6 months (confirm with trial site)
- You have had a laser procedure on your retina within the last 3 months
- You have any type of glaucoma other than primary open-angle glaucoma
- You are currently using steroid eye drops
- You have another significant eye condition or serious health condition that the doctor believes could put you at risk during the study — for example, wet macular degeneration, corneal swelling, active eye infection, or inflammation within the last 30 days (dry macular degeneration and certain diabetic eye conditions are not excluded)
- You have had a corneal transplant, or you have a corneal condition such as keratoconus, or your cornea is unusually thick or thin (confirm with trial site)
- You have a tumour behind the eye, thyroid eye disease, Sturge-Weber Syndrome, or another condition that raises pressure in the veins around the eye
- Your best corrected vision in the eye being studied is 20/50 or worse, for a reason other than cataracts
- Your best corrected vision in your other eye is 20/80 or worse, for a reason other than cataracts
