Children of Caucasian ethnicity, of any sex, aged between 6 months and 10 years old, who have a confirmed diagnosis of atopic dermatitis (a type of eczema)
Children of Caucasian ethnicity, of any sex, aged between 6 months and 10 years old, without atopic dermatitis, who are matched in age and sex to participants with the condition (as a comparison group)
Written consent must be provided by the participant and/or their parent or legal guardian before joining

Who may not be able to join:

Children who are not of Caucasian ethnicity, or who are younger than 6 months or older than 10 years
Children who have certain other long-term health conditions, including hypereosinophilic syndrome, fungal or viral infections, connective tissue disorders, autoimmune diseases, vasculitis, certain blistering skin conditions (such as pemphigus), drug allergy reactions, graft-versus-host disease, or certain inherited genetic disorders (such as Marfan syndrome type 2 or Hyper-IgE syndrome)
Children who have scars, moles, or unusual skin markings on both forearms
Children whose parent or legal guardian has not provided written consent for participation
