  • People with active heart or blood pressure problems, including uncontrolled high blood pressure, a heart attack or cardiac event in the last 12 months, serious heart failure, significant irregular heartbeat, or unstable chest pain
  • People with certain hormonal or metabolic conditions, specifically untreated overactive or underactive parathyroid glands, or Cushing's disease
  • People with significant muscle or joint disorders (as assessed by a clinician)
  • People who are currently on dialysis (kidney treatment)
  • People who have used steroid medications within the last 6 months, or who are currently on hormone replacement therapy
  • People who rely on a wheelchair for mobility

Isometric dynamometry; High-Density Surface electromyography (HDsEMG) and intramuscular electromyography (iEMG) of the muscles of the upper (bicep and tricep) and lower limbs (vastus lateralis and tibialis anterior) to determine muscle activation patterns; Motor control assessments for the upper and lower limbs (i.e., force tracking tasks for knee and elbow extension).; Balance tests
